A note to our community
Central PA 4th Fest has always been powered by the strength and support of our community—and this year, we’re making some important changes.
For 2026, the celebration will be more intimate and centered entirely at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, with festivities beginning at 4:00 PM. The Firecracker 4K will still kick off the day, and the parade will continue under separate coordination.
This shift comes as we navigate reduced funding and volunteer availability. Rather than scale beyond what’s sustainable, we’ve chosen to focus on creating a meaningful, high-quality experience in a single location.
We’re hopeful this year marks a new chapter—one that allows us to rebuild, re-engage, and come back even stronger in the years ahead.
Firecracker 4k
Our annual Firecracker 4K run/walk kicks off the Central PA 4th Fest's day long celebration of our nation's birthday. The race will be run on the beautiful Penn State main campus starting near the Bryce Jordan Center located on the east side of campus.
